Governance Apprenticeship
“Good governance is the exercise of economic, political, and administrative authority to manage a country’s affairs at all levels. It comprises mechanisms, processes, and institutions through which citizens and groups articulate their interests, exercise their legal rights, meet their obligations, and mediate their differences.”
– United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
Youth Policy Forum Governance Apprenticeship (YPF GA) is an advocacy initiative that plans to create an inclusive platform for exchanging knowledge between the youth of the country and the various stakeholders involved in the policymaking and governance system of Bangladesh. This initiative nurtures young minds by equipping them with insights into nation-building and statecraft through direct engagement with experienced mentors. In this cohort, the mentors will be renowned civil servants who will guide participants over a period of 3 to 5 weeks. During this time, participants will gain practical knowledge about governance, public policy, and how decisions are shaped within institutions, providing them with the opportunity to work with governmental, non-governmental and international organizations and understand the core issues of public policy affecting us.
