TEAM Safe Migration
About Team safe Migration
The Safe Migration Team is a dedicated and passionate group committed to championing the cause of safe and humane migration. In the face of increasing global migration trends, our team has come together to advocate for policies, awareness, and practices that prioritize the well-being, dignity, and rights of migrants. With a focus on promoting safe migration, our efforts span various areas, from influencing policy changes to raising public awareness and empowering communities. The team champions safer and better migration and is dedicated to promoting policies, awareness, and initiatives that prioritize the safety, well-being, and rights of migrants. We want to shed light on their struggles and support additional public services for migrants, refugees, and the displaced population. Our team’s priority is to promote the rights and well-being of migrants, who often bear the heaviest burden, and stretch the capacity of migrants to its limit while advocating for appropriate policy formulation or reformulation. Our goal is to bring in real change that caters to the unique needs of migrants. If this strikes a chord with you then join us and play your part for a Bangladesh better served.
Our Goals
- Attempting to influence and shape policies at local, national, and international levels to ensure they prioritize the safety and rights of migrants. This entails promoting fair immigration regulations, safeguards against exploitation, and availability of necessary services.
- Raising awareness among the general public of the challenges encountered by migrants and the significance of safe migration and educating on the rights of migrants and the benefits of implementing safe migration practices.
- Empowering migrant communities to support safe migration practices and advocate for the rights of migrants, especially those who are directly impacted by migration. Providing resources, and information enabling them to navigate the migration process properly.
- Working together to create and put into action plans that guarantee safe migration practices with partners, international agencies, governmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
- Advocating against prejudice and the stigmatization of immigrants, encouraging diversity, and dispelling myths that could skew people’s opinions about them.
- Gathering data on migration trends, challenges, and best practices through research initiatives to inform evidence-based advocacy and policy recommendations.
