Agro products finally get dedicated digital marketplace

Government unveils ‘Sadai’ app for marketing agro products.

Saying the development is an epoch-making initiative, the minister said that the successful implementation of the app will help ensure the quality of the agricultural produce, fair prices for the farmers, and minimize manipulation of the middlemen.

The app was developed by software company Bangla Puzzle Limited under the supervision of the Department of Agricultural Marketing (DAM.) Growers and entrepreneurs will get an opportunity for commission-free selling of their goods after getting free registration under the platform.

Without the participation of citizens, facilitation and the execution of policy might prove difficult, and multi-sectoral stakeholder involvement is proven to accelerate the process of any political commitment.

Infrastructure centered budget declaration by Barisal city corporation

The budget for infrastructure development in Barisal city for the 2021-2022 period is worth Tk 264.21 crore of which, the allotment is Tk 41 crore for administrative and office management, 36 crores for waste management, and Tk 9.79 crore. In addition, Tk 43 crore is allotted for the development and construction of city roads.
